3 Crucial Factors You Can’t Ignore Before Jumping Into The One Funnel Away Challenge

How you can make the most from your experience in the challenge

Sometimes people just try too hard into the one funnel away challenge.

You know the ones I’m talking about. You’ve seen them too.

You know the ones that are just so filled with hype and energy that your “BS” detector goes off the second they start talking.

They’re trying really hard to get you on board with whatever it is that they’re selling and they’re saying too much.

They’re really “amplifying” the “value” they add.

They’re overselling it and it actually can turn you off a lot faster than it turns you on and excites you.

I don’t fault those people though. I get it.

Sometimes they just haven’t refined the delivery and message enough and it still needs a lot of work.

But sometimes they’re just trying to sell you something, consequences be damned.

Honestly, that’s the kind of stuff that drives me up a wall.

In fact, on Facebook the other day I saw a post where someone was complaining about another person who was pitching them hard.

It didn’t end well.

The one who was doing the pitching got frustrated quickly and then became snarky, and the one who was being pitched to fired back with their own snark and, well, you know how things can go on the internet sometimes.

That’s why we can’t have nice things, as they say.

Sometimes though, you want to get some legitimate feedback. You want an honest review. You want to hear a take from someone who has bought the product or service and get some unbiased info on your experience.

Sometimes when it comes to recommending anything associated with ClickFunnels, or Russell Brunson, you get a lot of hype, a lot of people trying to get you to buy through their affiliate link, and you just want to get an honest review.

Those people have been through the Challenge themselves and now they’re trying to earn the affiliate commission themselves by enticing you with a bunch of additional stuff.

Don’t get me wrong – there are some really nice packages and bonuses out there. There are some people who are delivering some fantastic add-on value.

Others are, well, trying too hard.

So what I offer here is my take as one who’s been through the One Funnel Away Challenge.

My goal isn’t to hard-sell you on the Challenge or to promise you “thousands of dollars” in a bunch of “value-added” bonuses.

The point of all this is I want to tell you about my experience. I want to cover the reasons why I think it’s worth your time. Especially if you’ve ever thought about getting into digital marketing, or trying to build an online business, or building your own sales funnels online. 

I’m doing this because I think there is a lot to be learned from the One Funnel Away Challenge, especially for people who are new to online business and businesses who don’t traditionally do business online, and it’s a fantastic exercise for going deep and doing it fast. But it’s also not for everyone.

The goal here is to give my reasons for why I highly recommend going through the course yourself.

The One Funnel Away Challenge is a lot of work

More than meets the eye, in fact. For me, I was so excited about the possibilities of what I could do that I didn’t have a clear picture of all that was going to be involved.

You have to be ready to roll up your sleeves and do the hard work. When it comes to this Challenge, you’re going to grind, so you might as well get ready and dig in.

During the One Funnel Away Challenge it’s quite possible that you end up spending a good amount of time doing product research if you don’t already have a product idea.

In my opinion, it’s best to have a basic idea of what you want to sell so you don’t get bogged down doing product research. But don’t be too committed to your idea because it could change based on what you learn during the Challenge.

There’s a good deal of tech work too. But ClickFunnels is designed to make all that easier. But creating pages with ClickFunnels takes time to do right. The good thing is that you have a lot of templates to choose from that are provided by your ClickFunnels account.

Then there is copywriting. Creating the copy for your funnel pages was the hardest thing for me. I’m not a copywriter and getting the messaging right is such a crucial part of being successful with your funnel, so this was a big challenge for me.

You’re going to need to stay up late, get up early or both.

Russell points out during the course that you need to focus on “who” not “how”. This means you need to spend more time finding someone to help you do the tasks you need to do instead of figuring everything out by yourself.

There is a lot of wisdom in that statement.

However, if you don’t have the budget for that kind of help you can still end up with it all on your plate too.

But if you can, and Russell has created the “Funnel Rolodex” which you’ll learn about in the course, it’s a fantastic way to offload some of the work that will need to be done to get your funnel up and running.

The One Funnel Away Challenge is for 30 days, that’s it.

I think one of the best features of the One Funnel Away Challenge is the 30-day timeframe. 

It forces you to dig deep. It puts you into a position where you have to deliver.

One thing that I missed during my initial trip through the Challenge was that the materials, group, and access to the videos went away at the end of the challenge.

*That has since changed.*

While it’s true that the private Facebook group is archived, you will still have access to the member’s area where all the resources are kept. And you can still revisit the archived Facebook group.

Originally, they only left it open for a day or two after the conclusion, but after that, it was gone.

This is a HUGE improvement over when I first went through the OFA Challenge.

Thankfully, I took good notes and scrambled hard to get through the Challenge, but when it was over, access was gone. I’m glad that for those that are going through the Challenge now that the access to the materials remains.

But the principle remains the same: make sure that when you get started you’re committed to completing it.

The One Funnel Away Challenge can feel like trying to drink from a firehose.

If you’re not familiar with the concept of online sales funnels then this could be a little more challenging than for those who are familiar.

But don’t let that stop you!

It’s a complete immersion in to digital marketing so you can hop on board and make great progress.

For me though, having read both Dotcom Secrets, and Expert Secrets was a huge help.

To get the most out of the OFA Challenge I highly recommend doing some prep work by reading both of those books. You will only be better off because of it.
